Andy was introduced to skeet by his father at age 18, shot for only one year and then pursued his passion for stock car racing.  He didn’t pick up skeet shooting again till the age of 27 and started shooting recreationally at the club in 2001.  After being introduced to competitive shooting, he attended ten tournaments that year.

A self-taught skeet shooter via instructional videos and clinics from World Champions Todd Bender, Paul Giambrone the 3rd, and Craig Kirkman.  His early mentor was Mario Quesnel from Quebec.  His shotguns of choice over the years have been the Browning Citori, Beretta 682 Gold E, a Kreighoff K80, and finally his Kolar since 2009.

He began first travelling to his first World Championship in Texas in 2005, then steady in 2010.  He continues to compete for open titles in the AA and AAA classes, and is hoping to compete for the “Ring.”

Some Major Accomplishments:

  • 5 x NSSA All American (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016)
  • All Canadian Skeet Team
  • 2013 Ontario 20g Open Champion

Andy is a tremendous asset to our facility and graciously provides an annual Free Skeet Clinic to our members every spring.  A knowledgeable, approachable, and easy going gentleman that always takes the time to provide advice and encouragement to the members at all skill levels.  We thank him for his loyalty and continued support.  Come by and watch him shoot, you’ll be amazed!
